Under the Sea-Wind

Join us for the opening reception of Under The Sea-wind, Dreamsong’s first solo exhibition with Alexa Horochowski. Conceived as an archaeological site for future fossils, the exhibition is centered on Wrack Line (2024), a monumental new installation that traces the threshold where the sea deposits an array of detritus at high tide. Horochowski draws copiously from the natural world in the construction of sculptures and installations that emphasize human impermanence within ecologically deep time. Attuned to the intersection of the human and natural worlds, Horochowski’s interdisciplinary practice explores how political upheaval and man-made climate change reshape the temporal construction of memory and meaning.
