Gallery

Dreamsong is a space for contemporary art comprised of a gallery, a standalone Cinema, and an artist’s residency. Our program is focused on intergenerational emerging and mid-career artists from Minnesota and beyond, with an emphasis on female-identified and under-recognized artists. Founded in June 2021 by Rebecca Heidenberg and Gregory Smith, Dreamsong is located in Northeast Minneapolis.

Cinema

Our Cinema is located across the courtyard from the gallery. We screen experimental and nonfiction films and video art connected to exhibitions in the gallery. For upcoming screenings, please view the calendar. The cinema is also an open, flexible space for site-specific installations, sound, music, readings and workshops. Please do not hesitate to contact us with proposals for our Cinema, potential collaborations and private screenings.
